Whether you want to publish a novel, book or short story on Amazon, the process is the same. As you are self-publishing your own work, and so you have copyright, and can legally sell your story on Amazon, select This is not a public domain work and I hold the necessary publishing rights. I found the easiest solution was to use Komodo Edit to convert the formatted manuscript into Kindle specific html.
Komodo Edit is here. What I found was that without careful tweaking, my book looked good on one type of Kindle but not on others.

Kindle Previewer allows you to quickly switch between Kindle versions and see how the book will look on each type. Kindle Previewer is available here. The only option is Digital Rights Management. This is your choice. Choose Enable if you want to make it harder for people to copy your book, or Do Not Enable if you prefer to make your book available without restrictions. There are two options, design your own cover or use the template-based Cover Creator. Anyway, once the manuscript was all proofed and ready, I actually took a really deep look at the Kindle Direct Publishing platform , which has many, many, many instructions.
For the most part, it's pretty easy--you log in using your Amazon user account, give it some personal information and hope they never get hacked , and go to the "bookshelf" and start uploading. Then, I did some marketing, by which I mean I emailed all of my friends and family to let them know that I had written a book, and that they could buy it for just five American dollars. I also Tweeted it and put it on Facebook and my personal website. And then put a link to it on this article because a. I am a shameless self-promoter, and b. I won't lie, it's pretty cool to see it listed like a real, actual book.

Another less which is not included--it's basically impossible to make changes to the actual book description, etc! And the uploader for the content is janky. This is a really interesting idea for an article. Looking forward to seeing any potential results. Are you going to write the follow up if you're a millionairess by next month?

Looking forward to reading the results of the experiment as well. Wasn't trying to be nitpicky with the edit, just wanted to point it out. I even tried sending it over Facebook to you directly, but for some reason my tablet wasn't having any of that. Yeah, next month a big topic will be the fact that it takes 12 hours to make changes! Maybe it's a recent thing?

Or maybe I am terrible at reading the wall of text that Amazon presented me with. That is totally possible. BUT I would like to see them put a free book together to help others I may or may not end up making 6 figures - but like anything in life its all about how much effort you put into it. Sikander has a great deal of very good advice non of which relates to length of title. I have read that titles of no more than three words are best. However having read this book I think Muhammed might have the right idea.
Make the title outragous and people will buy the book. I will be trying very hard to put all that you advise into practice. One person found this helpful.
If Your Book Is Not Selling Take These 5 Easy Actions
I really must applaud author for a book filled with valuable insight and worthwhile information. The problem I had is that it is not possible to listen to the book using text to speech function. Because I am visually impaired' I prefer to listen. Reading is sometimes painful. I did read this one but it took a few days. I did this only because I recognized the quality of content was great. Hope author will reformat and correct the problem. Great book overall for those interested in getting started with publishing.
KDP 6 Figures Exposed displays the proof of the impressive income of an author. Deeper proofreading for sentence structure and grammar would improve the book. Outsourcing is accentuated as a possible strategy for the facets of publishing that hinder your productivity. I came away with some valuable tips that had not been mentioned in similar books on this subject. Book has helpful information. Is not the best written book but I did get some tips for my self publishing venture. I am realizing that the amount of marketing that needs to be done is a lot.
