Friendly people, good prices. A neighborhood dive, but a real gem.

One of what I call "community centers that serve alcohol. Menu includes, catfish, oysters, shrimp and the usual sandwiches and sides. Like a thorn in your side Ginger is definitely your thorn We did come in with our young child whom was extremely well behaved on this occasion thank goodness. We were approached by a lady who took our order, sarcastically and hurried due to, as she put it, "my baby daddy needs to drop of my kid and I need to study for my exam". We ignored it for the time being as our child is young and we just for the love of everything living in the desert, lol needed some oysters, cheap or not!
We ordered the first dozen and they were fantastic.

Minus miss Class Taker interrupting every 5 minutes. I am sorry but I am an extremely compassionate person and so is my husband, but please for the love of God do NOT tell me your autobiography when it is extremely obvious that we haven't been out in awhile and our 8 month old baby girl is on the verge of freaking out Wow has his place gone into the crapper.! Food used to be good but now it is horrible. Dirty rice has the consistency of grits, potatoes are no longer what they were, shrimp was rubbery and everything was cold when it came to table.
One bartender waiting on entire restaurant? She was slow, uninterested and forgettable. Both locations of the Lone Star Oyster Bar are pretty stellar, but I choose which one I visit depending on m y intent for the night. If I am interested in getting drunk, I visit 34th. If I am more concerned with my empty belly, the Slide Road 58th Street location is the placed to go.
What is Kobo Super Points?
Don't get me wrong, the food is good at both locations. But the Slide Road location is more family friendly, and for some reason the food is higher quality. The menus are slightly different, and I prefer the one at this location. I know it sounds funny, but even the salad is really excellent at this place. Just a few recommendations: Try the fried oysters.
Crab cakes are delish. They have really amazing nachos. Screw it, everything is good. I don't think I've had anything I don't like. Maybe the catfish, but I don't really like catfish anyways. Just go check it out, trust me. Use to go for the tuesday oyster special.. I know its dumb to eat raw seafood in the middle of the desert..
Now they jacked the prices up, the oil in the fryer seems like its never been changed, and both locations are just getting too old The bartenders are still pretty cool though, bc they probably have steady regulars already I started hitting this O Bar more often once I moved out to 96th and Slide, but it's definitely a suitable substitute for the original on 34th.
The giant painting of Willie Nelson on the wall helps make up for the decrease in character from the original location. Management hard to work and not professional. Your experience is definitely affected by the people who work with you, as with anywhere else. The culture is heavily sales-focused. Pressure from customers, supervisor, managers, and upper level management adds up to a heavy load. Culture is cut-throat and competitive; Tellers are treated as numbers rather than people. Customers verbally abuse Tellers on a regular basis. As a part-time employee, it is company policy for you to work 6 days of the week most weeks.
Full-time is usually 5 days, but sometimes 6. Part-time gets 5 days paid vacation per year, and full-time gets 10 days. Pay is better than most entry level jobs, which makes it hard to leave. It has a way of making people feel stuck. I've enjoyed working here for a while Company really looks out for their employees. A typical day at work is very busy and could involve lots of stress but it's rewarding. Most enjoyable part of the job is teamwork and employee involvement in the community with sponsored events and its own running team.
Management needs improvement; value those who actually contributes to the companies success versus who they know. Its all about who you know in order to move up within the company. This job was by far the best job I've ever had! Management was great and always treated everyone with respect. This company has great values and plenty of room for growth.
Great Job, a lot of responsibility. There a lot of rules and regulations to follow and as a result there is a thousand ways to mess up. Always keep a sharp eye and pay attention to detail!

On the job training, good luck with that. Help desk manager and supervisor have zero technical knowledge. During the interview, feel free to ask the help desk manager or supervisor technical questions for a good laugh. Most of the airworthy planes were flown out of the museum prior to the hurricane. Those remaining as well as the static displays were largely destroyed or heavily damaged.
Following the destruction of Hurricane Ike, the museum made the decision to move to Ellington International Airport in Houston. It is working with the Collings Foundation and Texas Flying Legends to create a combined aviation museum complex. Both the pilot and a paying passenger from the UK were killed in the crash. The museum's collection often participates in airshows across the country. The flight's mission is to safely and proudly display the evolution of US Air Force airpower and to support the Air Force's recruiting and retention efforts.
