Site of Jennie Wade grave with her statue. The Gettysburg battlefield is THE most decorated one in the world. In our several day stay, my husband and I saw many statues and memorials. Honestly, this one was THE most moving. We got out of the car and read her story. This was a good place to walk and reflect on what so many of those buried here endured before, during, and after the battle.
Each tour will tell you the story of Jeannie Wade, but a trip to Gettysburg is not complete without visiting her cemetery and The Jeannie Wade House.

Both should be seen. We walked to this cemetery and then walked this cemetery in the sweltering heat of Sept 2. Wouldn't have minded the walk if it was cooler out.
