Ryan and Tara have obstacles to overcome as in any good story, but Ms. Told with humor and authenticity by an author whose hobby of running lends much color to this story. One person found this helpful 2 people found this helpful. Joselyn Vaughn has written another great romance with characters you want to laugh with and cry.
Life doesn't always work as we planned. See the lemons Ryan and Tara have to squeeze. Tara always relied on her beauty. When an accident scars her, her dreams of being a pro cheerleader dies because she is flawed. I think that is beyond awful for a cheer squad to do, but whatever. Not knowing what else to do, she goes home and takes a tax prep course to give her some direction of what she would do with her life. I have done that too when I was younger. Worked for a well known tax prep place too.
Now that Tara has a job with an independent tax preparer she is left to do it all when her boss is on bed rest 8 weeks before she is due. She is forced to call Charlie to help. He is a sleazebag. Thank God we have Ryan. Ryan is a professional runner my husband wishes he was one who had knee surgery. Not knowing what to do with himself he moves back with his mom while he convolesses. He decides to go get his taxes done and meets Tara and he notices more than just her brains. When Charlie causes trouble, it is Ryan who comes to Tara's rescue.
Together they take down the bad guy and fall in love. One person found this helpful.

This was a sweet, clean romance. It moved at a pretty steady pace. I found myself dreading it though when I had to read the parts about Charlie. It was so easy to figure out what would happen, that I found myself wanting to skip over his appearances but I didn't. Was glad when he finally got what was coming to him.
The story had a few surprises, a few sweet moments and a few "really? There were a few odd components The story concept was good, the characters were easy to relate to, and the dialogue went pretty smoothly between the characters. All in all, a good read. Would I recommend this book? Yes if you want a sweet read with no heat.
Would I read more from this author? I need to see if there was a previous book to this one, if so, I do want to read it to find out about the other couple in this book. I really enjoyed this story, the main characters are realistic and believable, just like you and me.
I like the growth of Tara, from insecure with hardly any self-esteem to learning to believe in herself with Ryan's help. One of the things that make this an enjoyable story for me is that although the story details Tara's struggle with herself, she still impacts Ryan and helps him face his reality. I think right from the beginning there's an obvious point in the plot, which I usually dislike, however even though I could guess the basic version of the end for Ryan and Tara, I didn't see the twist coming.
I think overall this is a great story and I look forward to reading more by Joselyn Vaughn, as this is the first work I've read by her. This book was exceptionally good! The characters were people you could relate with and were real. The struggles that Ryan and Tara are going through are not things that you can not imagine happening and this just adds so much to the story.

Then add in the sweet clumsiness of Tara and Ryan's mom, along with the rest of the ladies and I just can't say enough good about this story. I loved how when Ryan remembers why Tara seems so familiar to him, he is torn to do the right thing and tell her or just let it go. Everything about this story was real and touches your heart.
I have not had the chance to read anything from this author before, but this will not be last story by her. I loved it and more importantly, I enjoyed it! Another heartfelt story from Ms. I loved Climbing Heartbreak Hill because the characters were so flawed and so real. You couldn't help but empathize with Tara and Ryan as they struggled to overcome obstacles both physical and emotional. Only I'd dream of having a simple life.
A life where I wasn't marrying the scariest man I have ever met. Well, I thought I had just met him, but it turns out, there's so much I don't know about myself. I'm leaning toward The Warden's Light as the title. She admired his focus and determination for learning about weather disasters and helping to prevent people being injured or killed in them. It seemed to be his only interest. Her mother said she was just as single-minded about numbers. Well, Barbara had other interests, hobbies, pursuits. She fantasized about plastering hers.

From an untitled work in progress, hopefully a short story: The fishy, seaweedy smell of the lake wafted in the breeze, mixing with the damp mossiness of the trees. Barbara stared down the trail where the path disappeared around a curve.
The legend claimed a light would bob along the path shortly after twilight and when one approached it, the light disappeared.
I can't say anything else. My daughter is notorious for spilling on her clothes. I don't know if she is worse than my son or if because her clothes are mostly light pink, the stains show up on her clothes. She has shirts that I am sure I soak in Oxyclean every other week. Some shirts I've completely given up on and others I've thrown in a pile to try to do something else with. Sadly, usually I debate about what to do with the shirt for so long, that she's outgrown it. This time I decided to use my. My latest book, Hauntings of the Heart, was released just before Halloween.
